Spring morning at Goeku Gusuku

Spring morning at Goeku Gusuku ( 越来グスク ). This morning is a great spring morning, sun is out and shining. Yesterday while looking on a map I found Castle ( グスク ) thats about 20 min away that I have never heard of. So this morning I went to check it out. Well there is not much left of the site. I looks like all the stones had been used by poeple rebuilding their houses after the war. All that was left is three court yards and the upper court yard is would be where the house was. Now the upper court yard had benches with a great view of Okinawa City. The lower court yard has been turned into a small park. This morning people where playing gate ball. And a construction company was removing a set of swings.

The Goeku Gusuku was the castle of King Shotaikyu and King Shoseni when the both princes during the 15th century. Most of the site and aftifacts where destroyed during world war II.

I like your photos a lot! I hope to be moving to Okinawa, soon (Uruma City), as a private citizen (not a military assignment) and I want to take lots of photos of my mom's native land.

What kind of camera do you use?
