Okinawa Expressway Igei rest stop

Today on the way to work I stopped at Igei rest stop on the Okinawa Expressway.

At the rest stop you find a stone gate leading to a green garden.

The Kariyushi Gate. In Okinawa dialect "Kariyushi" means "something happy and lucky". Passing through this gate, you will be led to a garden with green trees, beautiful flower and blue sky as a blessing of the nature and at the end of garden there is an observation tower from which you command manificent view of Kin Bay. In order that the gate be a threshold to you happy and lucky future. This gate was named Kariyushi Gate
